Dr. Power attended Midwestern University, with an interest in shelter medicine, dentistry, and exotics. She has two dogs, Mac and Murphy (pictured). She and her husband enjoy hiking the outdoors and seeking out the best coffee in every city they visit. They are Cardinals and Blues fans, even when they struggle. They are over the moon about the arrival of their first child, expected in October. Dr. Power also enjoys gardening, though she says she does not have much of a green thumb.
